حدثنا إبراهيم بن منصور البخاري، قال: سمعت أبا عصمة سعد بن معاذ المروزي، قال: سمعت أبا سليمان موسى بن سليمان، عن حماد بن زيد، قال:كنا نكون عند عمرو بن دينار فكان إذا جاء أبو حنيفة رضوان الله عليه أقبل عليه وتركنا.

Ibrāhīm ibn Manṣūr al-Bukhārī related to us. He said: I heard Abū ʿIṣma, Saʿd ibn Muʿādh al-Marwazī, say: I heard Abū Sulaymān, Mūsā ibn Sulaymān, relate from Ḥammād ibn Zayd, who said: We used to sit with ʿAmr ibn Dīnār. Whenever Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him, arrived, he turned his attention to him and left us.
حدثنا عبد الله بن عبيد الله، قال: سمعت حامد بن أحمد بن حماد المعروف بالمكي السختياني، قال: سمعت سفيان بن عيينة، يقول:أول من أجلسني للحديث أبو حنيفة رضي الله عنه، فيسألوني عن أحاديث عمرو بن دينار، فحدثتهم بأحاديثه ثمان مائة حديث.

ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUbayd Allāh related to us. He said: I heard Ḥāmid ibn Aḥmad ibn Ḥammād, known as al-Makkī al-Sakhtiyānī, say: I heard Sufyān ibn ʿUyayna say: The first person to have me sit to relate hadith was Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him. They asked me about the reports of ʿAmr ibn Dīnār, and I related his reports to them: eight hundred reports.

ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUbayd Allāh related to us. He said: I heard Khalaf al-Samarqandī say: Suwayd ibn Saʿīd al-Anbārī related to us. He said: I heard Ibn ʿUyayna say: The first person to have me sit to relate hadith was Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him. Abū Ḥanīfa gathered with the senior shaykhs, who asked me about the reports of ʿAmr ibn Dīnār, and I related them. Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him, said: “This man is among the most knowledgeable people concerning the reports of ʿAmr ibn Dīnār.”
حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد بن علي، قال: حدثنا سختويه بن مازيار النيسابوري أبو علي، قال: حدثنا سليمان بن حرب قال: حدثنا حماد بن زيد، قال:جاء رجل إلى أبي حنيفة، فقال: إني أحرمت فلبست الخفين، فقال: أهرق دماً، فقلت: يا أبا حنيفة! عسى لم يجد النعلين، قال: فقال الرجل: يا أبا حنيفة! لم يجد نعلين، فقال: أهرق دماً، قال قلت: يا أبا حنيفة! هذا عمرو بن دينار، حدثنا عن جابر بن زيد، عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: «من أحرم ولم يجد نعلين فليلبس الخفين»، فهذا أيوب، حدثنا عن نافع، عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما، عن رسول الله ﷺ نحوه، فقال: يهريق دماً.
حدثنا أبي رحمه الله، وأبو زيد عمران بن فرينام، قالا: حدثنا أحمد بن الليث أبو نصر البخاري، قال: حدثنا عارم أبو النعمان، قال: حدثنا حماد بن زيد، قال: سمعت أبا حنيفة رضي الله عنه يحدث عن عمرو بن دينار، قال: حدثني علي بن الأقمر، عن مسروق، قال:دخلت على عائشة رضي الله عنها يوم عرفة، فقالت: اسقوا مسروقا وأكثروا واحلبوه، فقلت: يا أم المؤمنين! إنه لم يمنعني أصوم هذا اليوم إلا أني خشيت أن يكون يوم النحر، فقالت: إنما النحر يوم ينحر الناس، والفطر يوم يفطر الناس.

My father, may God have mercy on him, and Abū Zayd ʿImrān ibn Firīnām related to us. They said: Aḥmad ibn al-Layth, Abū Naṣr al-Bukhārī, related to us. He said: ʿĀrim, Abū al-Nuʿmān, related to us. He said: Ḥammād ibn Zayd related to us. He said: I heard Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him, relate from ʿAmr ibn Dīnār, who said: ʿAlī ibn al-Aqmar related to me, from Masrūq, who said: I visited ʿĀʾisha, may God be pleased with her, on the Day of ʿArafa. She said: ‘Give Masrūq something to drink, give him plenty, and milk for him.’ I said: ‘Mother of the Believers! The only thing that prevented me from fasting today was my fear that it might be the Day of Sacrifice.’ She said: ‘The Day of Sacrifice is the day on which the people sacrifice, and the day of breaking the fast is the day on which the people break their fast.’
