ʿAbd Allāh said: Zakariyyā ibn Yaḥyā wrote to me. He said: Muḥammad ibn Abī Manṣūr related to us. He said: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Malik related to us. He said: Ḥātim ibn Ismāʿīl related to us, from Abū Ḥanīfa, may God have mercy on him, from Qays ibn Muslim, from Ṭāriq ibn Shihāb, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: God Most High has sent down no disease without sending down a remedy for it, except death and old age. Take cow’s milk, for it is mixed from every kind of tree.

The final phrase تُخلط من كل الشجر is rendered close to its wording: “mixed from every kind of tree.”
