حدثني أبي رضي الله عنه وغيره، قالا: حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود المروزي، قال: سمعت أبا زيد صاحب الشروط، حدث عن علي بن المديني، عن ابن عيينة، أنه قال: كان أبو حنيفة رضي الله عنه يختم القرآن في شهر رمضان ستين مرة، مرة بالليل، ومرة بالنهار.

My father, may God be pleased with him, and another person related to me. They said: Saʿīd ibn Masʿūd al-Marwazī related to us. He said: I heard Abū Zayd, the specialist in legal documents, relate from ʿAlī ibn al-Madīnī, from Ibn ʿUyayna: He said: Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him, used to complete the Qurʾān sixty times in Ramadan: once at night and once during the day.
