Ṭalḥa ibn Muṣarrif

Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad informed us: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Aḥmad ibn Bahlūl related to me: This is the book of my grandfather Ismāʿīl ibn Ḥammād. I read in it: al-Haytham ibn Ḥayyān Abū Muḥammad al-Nakhaʿī related to me: I saw Abū Ḥanīfa—may God have mercy on him—meet Ṭalḥa ibn Muṣarrif, embrace him, and shake his hand.

ʿAbd Allāh said: Ṣāliḥ ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī Rumayḥ wrote to me. He said: Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad related to us. He said: Muḥammad ibn Muḥriz related to us. He said: Saʿīd ibn ʿAmr related to us, from Sufyān al-Thawrī, from al-Nuʿmān ibn Thābit, from Ṭalḥa ibn Muṣarrif, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwsaja, from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: ‘God and His angels send blessings upon the first row.’
