حدثنا قيس بن أبي قيس، قال: حدثني محمد بن واصل، عن ابن المبارك، قال: كان مسعر إذا رأى أبا حنيفة قام له، وإذا جلس معه جلس بين يديه، وكان مُجلاً له مائلاً إليه مثنياً عليه.

Qays ibn Abī Qays related to us. He said: Muḥammad ibn Wāṣil related to me, from Ibn al-Mubārak, who said: When Misʿar saw Abū Ḥanīfa, he stood for him. When he sat with him, he sat before him. He revered him, inclined toward him, and praised him.
