حدثنا أحمد بن محمد، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن بهلول، قال: هذا كتاب جدي إسماعيل بن حماد، فقرأت فيه: قال: حدثني أيوب بن سافري، قال: كنت عند منصور فجاءه أبو حنيفة رحمة الله عليه، فسأله عن حديث عبد الله في حمل الجنازة، وعن حديث عائشة رضي الله عنها في التعريف بالبدن، فحدثه.

Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad related to us: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Aḥmad ibn Bahlūl related to us: This is the book of my grandfather Ismāʿīl ibn Ḥammād. I read in it: He said: Ayyūb ibn Sāfirī related to me: I was with Manṣūr when Abū Ḥanīfa—may God have mercy on him—came and asked him about ʿAbd Allāh’s report on carrying the funeral bier and ʿĀʾisha’s report—may God be pleased with her—on taʿrīf with sacrificial camels. He related them to him.
The ritual term taʿrīf is retained; the report refers to the accounts without reproducing their contents.
