حدثنا الحسن بن معروف البخاري سكن بلخ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن زنبور، قال: حدثنا الحارث بن عمير المكي، قال: كان أبو حنيفة رضي الله عنه إذا قدم مكة كان عامة من مجالسه ابن جريج وعبد العزيز بن أبي رواد، وكان ابن جريج يطريه ويحبه.

Al-Ḥasan ibn Maʿrūf al-Bukhārī, who settled in Balkh, related to us. He said: Muḥammad ibn Zanbūr related to us. He said: al-Ḥārith ibn ʿUmayr al-Makkī related to us. He said: When Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him, came to Mecca, those who sat with him most often were Ibn Jurayj and ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Rawwād. Ibn Jurayj praised him and loved him.

حدثنا الحسن بن معروف البخاري سكن بلخ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن زنبور، قال: حدثنا عبد المجيد بن عبد العزيز بن أبي رواد، قال: كان أبي إذا اشتبه عليه شيء من أمر دينه كتب به إلى أبي حنيفة رضي الله عنه، فلما ارتحلت إلى أبي حنيفة حملني مسائل إليه أسأله عنها، وكان أبو حنيفة رضي الله عنه إذا قدم مكة لا يفارق أبي، وكان يقتدي به في أموره.

Al-Ḥasan ibn Maʿrūf al-Bukhārī, who settled in Balkh, related to us. He said: Muḥammad ibn Zanbūr related to us. He said: ʿAbd al-Majīd ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Rawwād related to us. He said: Whenever my father was uncertain about a matter of his religion, he wrote about it to Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him. When I traveled to Abū Ḥanīfa, he entrusted me with questions to ask him. When Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him, came to Mecca, he stayed close to my father and followed his example in his affairs.

He said: Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him, related to us, from Abān ibn Abī ʿAyyāsh, from Ibrāhīm, from ʿAlqama, may God have mercy on them, from ʿAbd Allāh, from his mother: She spent the night with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and saw him bow after the qunūt.

حدثنا الحسن بن معروف، قال: حدثنا أبو بكر الأعْين، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن معين، قال: سمعت علي بن مُسهر، يقول: خرج الأعمش إلى الحج فشيعه أهل الكوفة وأنا فيهم، فلما أتى القادسية رأوه مغموماً، فقالوا له في ذلك، فقال: علي بن مسهر شيَّعنا؟ قالوا: نعم، قال: ادعوه لي، فدعوني وقد كان عرفني بمجالسة أبي حنيفة قال: ارجع إلى المصر وسَلْ أبا حنيفة بأن يكتب لي المناسك، فرجعت فسألته فأملى علي، ثم أتيت بها الأعمش.

Al-Ḥasan ibn Maʿrūf related to us. He said: Abū Bakr al-Aʿyan related to us. He said: Yaḥyā ibn Maʿīn related to us. He said: I heard ʿAlī ibn Mushir say: Al-Aʿmash left for pilgrimage. The people of Kufa accompanied him on his departure, and I was among them. When he reached al-Qādisiyya, they saw that he was troubled and asked him about it. He said: ‘Did ʿAlī ibn Mushir accompany us?’ They said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘Call him to me.’ They called me. He knew me through my sitting with Abū Ḥanīfa. He said: ‘Return to the city and ask Abū Ḥanīfa to write down the pilgrimage rites for me.’ I returned and asked him, and he dictated them to me. Then I brought them to al-Aʿmash.
