حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن سعيد الهمداني، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم بن الوليد، قال: سمعت أبي يذكر عن الحسين بن زياد، قال: كان ابن جريج ربما ذكر المسألة فيقول: ما يقول صاحبك في هذه المسألة، وربما ذكر الشيء من قول أبي حنيفة رضي الله عنه.

Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Saʿīd al-Hamdānī related to us. He said: Ibrāhīm ibn al-Walīd related to us. He said: I heard my father relate from al-Ḥusayn ibn Ziyād, who said: Ibn Jurayj would sometimes mention a legal question and say: ‘What does your companion say about this question?’ At other times, he would mention something from Abū Ḥanīfa’s views, may God be pleased with him.
