Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan Abū Bishr

Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad related to us: Muḥammad ibn ʿUbayd ibn ʿUtba related to us: Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan Abū Bishr related to us: Ibrāhīm ibn Samāʿa, a client of Banū Ḍabba, related to us: I heard Abū Ḥanīfa—may God have mercy on him—say, ‘Since Ḥammād died, I have never offered a prayer without asking forgiveness for him together with my parents. I ask forgiveness for anyone from whom I learned knowledge or to whom I taught knowledge.’
