كتب إليَّ صالح بن محمد بن أبي رميح، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن إسماعيل البخاري، قال: حدثنا جدي الحسن بن عثمان، قال: حدثنا محمد بن السماك، عن أبي حنيفة رحمة الله عليه، عن الزهري عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: «إذا قرِّب العشاء وأذن المؤذن فابدؤوا بالعشاء».

Ṣāliḥ ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī Rumayḥ wrote to me: Yaḥyā ibn Ismāʿīl al-Bukhārī related to us: My grandfather al-Ḥasan ibn ʿUthmān related to us: Muḥammad ibn al-Sammāk related to us, from Abū Ḥanīfa—may God have mercy on him—from al-Zuhrī, from Anas ibn Mālik—may God be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of God—God bless him and grant him peace—said: ‘When supper is served and the caller gives the call to prayer, begin with supper.’
