حدثنا محمد بن المنذر الهروي، قال: حدثنا محمد بن المهاجر، قال: حدثني محمد بن حاتم، قال: حدثنا عمار بن محمد، قال: كان أبو حنيفة رحمة الله عليه جالساً في المسجد الحرام، وعليه زحام كثير من كل الآفاق، قد اجتمعوا عليه يسألونه من كل جانب، فيجيبهم ويفتيهم كأن المسائل في كمِّه يخرجها فيناوِلُها إياهم.

Muḥammad ibn al-Mundhir al-Harawī related to us: Muḥammad ibn al-Muhājir related to us: Muḥammad ibn Ḥātim related to me: ʿAmmār ibn Muḥammad related to us: Abū Ḥanīfa—may God have mercy on him—was sitting in the Sacred Mosque, surrounded by a great crowd from every region. They gathered around him, questioning him from every side. He answered and gave legal opinions as though the answers were in his sleeve, which he took out and handed to them.
