Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad informed us: Aḥmad ibn Yūsuf al-Juʿfī related to us: al-Qāsim ibn al-Ḍaḥḥāk related to us: Hushaym ibn Hilāl related to me: I heard Abū Ḥanīfa say: Were it not for ʿAlī, I would not have known how to deal with the people of the qibla.
The expression ‘people of the qibla’ is retained without adding a specific conflict or legal setting absent from this entry.
