حدثنا أحمد بن محمد، قال: حدثني عمر بن عيسى بن عثمان، قال: حدثني أبي، قال: حدثني إسماعيل بن شعيب السمان، عن أبيه، قال: رأيت أبا حنيفة ومحارب بن دثار متزاملين إلى مكة، وقد أحرما وهما يصحبان.

Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad related to us: ʿUmar ibn ʿĪsā ibn ʿUthmān related to me: My father related to me: Ismāʿīl ibn Shuʿayb al-Sammān related to me, from his father, who said: I saw Abū Ḥanīfa and Muḥārib ibn Dithār sharing a mount on the way to Mecca. They had entered the state of pilgrimage consecration and were traveling together.
