Related to us: Ṣāliḥ ibn Aḥmad ibn Abī Muqātil al-Qīrāṭī al-Baghdādī; he said: related to me: Muḥammad ibn Shawkar; he said: related to us: al-Qāsim ibn al-Ḥakam al-ʿUranī; he said: related to us: Abū Ḥanīfa; he said: related to us: al-Haytham—meaning al-Ṣayrafī—from Abū Ṣāliḥ—may God have mercy on them—from Abū Hurayra—may God be pleased with him: From the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: “Whoever says three times in the morning, ‘I seek refuge in God’s perfect words from the evil of what He has created,’ will not be harmed by a scorpion until evening. Whoever says it in the evening will not be harmed by a [scorpion] until morning.”
