علي بن الحسن الذهلي

Zakariyyā ibn Yaḥyā wrote to me: ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥasan al-Dhuhlī related to us. He said: Ḥafṣ ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān related to us, from Abū Ḥanīfa, from Abū Farwa, from Ibn Abī Laylā, from Ḥudhayfa, may God be pleased with him: The Prophet, God bless him and grant him peace, forbade us to eat or drink from gold and silver vessels, or to wear silk and brocade, for they are for the polytheists in this world and for us in the Hereafter.
