al-Ḥārith ibn ʿAbd Allāh (transmitter from Ḥassān ibn Ibrāhīm)

Related to us: Muḥammad ibn Mundhir ibn Bakr al-Aʿmash al-Balkhī; he said: related to us: al-Ḥārith ibn ʿAbd Allāh; he said: related to us: Ḥassān ibn Ibrāhīm; he said: related to us: Abū Ḥanīfa, from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Abū Qatāda—may God have mercy on them—who said: I went out with a group of Muḥammad’s companions, may God bless him and grant him peace. Everyone except me was in pilgrimage consecration. I spotted a herd of wild animals and mounted my horse, forgetting my whip. I asked them: “Hand it to me,” but they refused. I dismounted, took my whip and mounted again. I pursued the herd and caught a wild donkey. I ate, and they ate with me.

Informed us: Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Saʿīd al-Hamadhānī; he said: related to us: ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn Manṣūr al-Hamadhānī; he said: related to us: al-Ḥārith—meaning Ibn ʿAbd Allāh; he said: informed us: Ḥassān ibn Ibrāhīm, from Abū Ḥanīfa, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Saʿīd ibn Abī Saʿīd: A man said to ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar—may God be pleased with them both: “I have seen that, when you circumambulate the House, you do not pass the Yemeni Corner without touching it.” He said: “I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, do that.” He said: “I have seen you dye your beard yellow.” He said: “I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, do that.” He said: “I have seen you perform ablution wearing these tanned-leather sandals.” He said: “I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, do that.” He said: “I have seen that, when you wished to enter pilgrimage consecration, you mounted your riding animal, faced the prayer direction and entered consecration.” He said: “I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, do that.”
