ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥasan al-Marwazī

And Ṣāliḥ ibn Abī Rumayḥ wrote to me: Abū Bakr al-Ṣaghānī related to us: ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥasan al-Marwazī related to us: Ibrāhīm ibn Rustam related to us, from Qays ibn al-Rabīʿ, from Abū Ḥanīfa—may God be pleased with him—from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Umayma bint Ruqayqa—may God be pleased with her—who said: I came to the Prophet—God bless him and his family and grant him peace—to pledge allegiance to him. He said, ‘I do not shake hands with women.’
