Naṣr ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz, father of Ibrāhīm

Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥasan ibn Yazīd ibn Yaʿqūb al-Hamadhānī al-Daqqāq related to us. He said: Ibrāhīm ibn Naṣr ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz, a resident of Nahawand, related to us. He said: I heard my father say: I heard my grandfather say, from Abū Ḥanīfa, from ʿAlqama ibn Marthad, from Ibn Burayda, from his father—God have mercy on them—who said: The Messenger of God, God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever does not accept the excuse of a Muslim who offers him an apology bears a burden of sin like that of a collector of unlawful tolls.” He was asked: “[Messenger of God], what is a collector of unlawful tolls?” He replied: “A tithe collector.”
