Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad informed us: Ibrāhīm ibn al-Walīd ibn Jamād related to us: My father related to us: Ḥusayn ibn Sayf al-Ḍabbī related to us, from ʿAmmār ibn Sayf, who said: I said to Sufyān, ‘Some people say such-and-such,’ and I had written from Abū Ḥanīfa—may God have mercy on him. He said, ‘You too, ʿAmmār? You too, ʿAmmār?’ I could see his displeasure.

The unspecified remarks remain unspecified; the source gives no further content for ‘such-and-such.’

Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Mūsā al-Saʿdī related to us: Aḥmad ibn Jamīl al-Marwazī related to us: ʿAmmār ibn Sayf related to us, from Abū Ḥanīfa—may God be pleased with him—from Ḥammād, from Ibrāhīm—may God have mercy on them both—who said: If the imam’s prayer becomes invalid, the prayer of those behind him becomes invalid.
