حدثنا عبد الله بن عبيد الله، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الوهاب بن بسام العسقلاني، قال: حدثنا ابن أبي السري، قال: حدثنا عبد المجيد بن عبد العزيز، قال: حدثنا أبو حنيفة رضي الله عنه، عن حماد، قال: أتيت إبراهيم وهو مختف من الحجاج، فبشر بموت الحجاج فسجد سجدة الشكر من الفرح.

ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUbayd Allāh related to us. He said: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb ibn Bassām al-ʿAsqalānī related to us. He said: Ibn Abī al-Sarī related to us. He said: ʿAbd al-Majīd ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz related to us. He said: Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him, related to us, from Ḥammād, who said: I came to Ibrāhīm while he was hiding from al-Ḥajjāj. He was given the good news of al-Ḥajjāj’s death, and he made a prostration of gratitude out of joy.
