حدثنا محمد بن عبد الرحمن الأصبهاني، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن سليمان، قال: حدثنا أبي، قال: حدثنا النعمان هو ابن عبد السلام، قال: حدثنا شعبة وأبو حنيفة وسفيان الثوري رحمة الله عليهم عن عبد الملك بن عمير، عن قزعة، عن أبي سعيد رضي الله عنه، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم قال: «لا يصام هذان اليومان: يوم الفطر ويوم النحر».

Related to us: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Aṣbahānī; he said: related to us: Aḥmad ibn Sulaymān; he said: related to us: my father; he said: related to us: al-Nuʿmān—he is Ibn ʿAbd al-Salām; he said: related to us: Shuʿba, Abū Ḥanīfa and Sufyān al-Thawrī—may God have mercy on them—from ʿAbd al-Malik ibn ʿUmayr, from Qazaʿa, from Abū Saʿīd—may God be pleased with him: From the Prophet, may God bless him and his family and grant him peace, who said: “These two days are not to be fasted: the day of the festival of breaking the fast and the day of sacrifice.”
