Abū Zayd, mawlā of the family of ʿUmar

Wrote to me: Ṣāliḥ ibn Muḥammad; he said: related to us: ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Muḥammad al-Raqāshī; he said: related to us: Mūsā ibn Muḥammad al-Qurashī Abū Ṭāhir; he said: related to us: Muṭarrif ibn Māzin, the judge of Yemen; he said: related to us: al-Nuʿmān ibn Thābit Abū Ḥanīfa—may God have mercy on them; he said: related to us: Abū Zayd, the client of the family of ʿUmar, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Ibn ʿUmar—may God be pleased with them both: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family and grant him peace, bathed at Fajj before entering Mecca.
