And Salih ibn Muhammad al-Asadi, ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ʿAli al-Balkhi and ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUbayd Allah ibn Shurayh related to us; they said: Ahmad ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Wahb related to us; he said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Wahb related to us; he said: al-Layth ibn Saʿd related to me, from Yaʿqub Abu Yusuf, from al-Nuʿman Abu Hanifa, may God have mercy on them, from Musa ibn Abi ʿAʾisha, from ʿAbd Allah ibn Shaddad Abu al-Walid, from Jabir ibn ʿAbd Allah, may God be pleased with him; he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: For any man who prays behind an imam, the imam's recitation counts as his recitation. This is Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Razi's wording. ʿAbd Allah ibn Ahmad and ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUbayd Allah said in their report: from Ahmad ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman, from ʿAbd Allah ibn Shaddad, from Abu al-Walid, from Jabir, may God be pleased with him. The correct version is what Muhammad ibn Ibrahim and Salih ibn Muhammad al-Asadi related to us. Ahmad ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Wahb's report is longer.
