Naṣr ibn ʿAlī al-Jahḍamī

Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan al-Balkhī related to us. He said: Naṣr ibn ʿAlī al-Jahḍamī related to us. He said: al-Aṣmaʿī related to us. He said: ʿUmar ibn Qays said: I said to Abū Ḥanīfa, may God be pleased with him: “Where did you obtain this jurisprudence?” He said to me: “I was in a source of knowledge and jurisprudence. I sat with its people and kept close to one of their jurists, called Ḥammād, and benefited from him.”
